The tradition of painted eggs appeared a long time ago, and in many nations it is no less popular than the usual coloring. You should not compromise by giving preference to inexpensive stickers! If you want to surprise guests and relatives, use a more creative decoration method that will allow you to cover the shell with a beautiful detailed pattern. Even if you do not know how to draw, everything will work out!
You will need:
- Hard-boiled eggs with light-colored shells (preferably without poultry stamps);
- starch (or egg white and salt);
- soft brush;
- napkins with a beautiful pattern
The most colorful and detailed drawings can be found on napkins for decoupage. Such kits are more expensive, but one pack contains many different ornaments. Thick napkins are separated by fibers, separating the top layer with a pattern. You can take a thin single-layer napkins.
Figure divided into small parts. It’s better to do it straight with your hands - the jagged, ragged edge of the paper is thinner. This method is better suited for decoupage, because with it the boundaries of gluing parts are less noticeable.
Apply parts of the drawings on a clean and dry egg with a brush, wetting a napkin with water. The fewer folds will be on the surface, the more accurate the final painting will be.
Now napkins should be fixed with a special paste. It is prepared from two teaspoons of starch, diluted in warm water to the state of thick cream. You can put the mixture on a very slow fire for better dissolution. Another option is to fasten napkins with raw egg white. Before applying the protein should be whipped, adding a small pinch of salt.
Leave the eggs to dry. For this it is convenient to use a sieve or grate from a microwave. Do not put eggs on the balcony and do not leave under the open window so that dust does not come to the surface.
In addition to the other advantages of this method, it allows you to slightly strengthen the shell. Therefore, in the Easter games you will have a slight advantage.
