Having tried juicy fragrant strawberries, often there is a desire to have the same on the site. What to do if the seedlings together do not sell it, and sometimes even the name of the variety is kept secret? There is a way out. You can even grow strawberries from the berries. The main thing is that it is ripe. Efforts will certainly have to be made, and it will be possible to enjoy the fruits of your labor no sooner than next year, but the result is worth it. In addition, knowing all about the secret method of landing, you can significantly save on planting material.
For landing you will need:
- ripe strawberries;
- thin knife;
- universal soil for indoor plants or special for strawberries and strawberries;
- tray for sowing seeds.
To obtain planting material, we cut from the berries thin layers of pulp on which there are seeds.
We put universal soil in the tray and lay the strawberry chips on top of the cut down.
From above we fall asleep with a thin layer of earth mixed with a small amount of sand (depending on the season, you can also add some ash or fallen leaves). Now the main thing is to provide the seeds with comfortable conditions for germination. Moisturize the soil better with a spray gun. Covering the tray with film or glass, place it in the light. With this method of landing, airing will not be superfluous.
As soon as the sprouts are full, the film can be removed. But hurry with a strawberry transplant in the open ground is not worth it. It is better to transplant it into a pot, transferring it along with the ground, so as not to damage the root system.
With proper care, literally in a few months the strawberries will produce shoots that can be planted right there.
Seed after receiving the shoots can be grown from seed bushes.
In this way, you can propagate not only regular or remontant strawberries, but also strawberries.
